60 Days to Go!

I am definitely in the home stretch at this point and we are getting more and more excited every day. Even Finn is getting excited. He has been moving around like crazy! It was really funny, the other night, Katara snuggled up next to my belly and Finn definitely kicked a little bit. I'm sure Katara was just like what? I'm not  sure she even noticed but he really responds when my belly is touched. It is still so bizarre when he is really moving and I take the time to just look at my belly and see it moving. He has been especially active in the evenings still. Sometimes it will be pretty much non-stop movement for an hour or so. It's also kind of fun when he's moving around, I can tell when he's going to move so if Brett missed it, I can tell that he will move again-it's pretty cool!

I had another doctor's appointment on Monday and again, everything looks great! My doctor was much more pleasant this time around and we chatted just a little bit about some more details from my ultrasound. He has a good-sized head (great for him, not so much for mom...) and he's tall (basketball! swimming! rowing! and running, I guess...that was Brett's idea haha) I'm really interested as to where he is getting his size from! Brett and I were just over 7 pounds at birth and we're both pretty average height. There must be some tall genes somewhere down the line.

We just finished our last Lamaze class on Tuesday and our next class is going to be all about breast feeding. Should be helpful and interesting. So glad we took this class. It was great for both of us because, as with most things, we both retain certain things that we find important and combined, have a lot of helpful information. Really nice to have your support person feeling more prepared rather than just being thrown into labor and not really know what's going on or how to help-same goes for me! I think at this point, I am most nervous about after I deliver like the healing process and taking care of a newborn. As far as actually delivering, pain is normal and temporary so I still want to try to go without pain meds.

So excited about our nursery! Everything turned so nicely and I have to say I am quite proud of the letters I painted. Kind of fun to see what can happen in a month!

Before...
After!
